Chef Nate grew up in Jackson Hole, Wyoming gaining a strong foundation in cooking by working at several of the Luxury Resort Hotels in the area including The Amangani, Spring Creek Ranch and Three Creek Ranch Golf Club and Resort.
After moving to the Portland Oregon area in 2008, Nate quickly climbed the ranks of the kitchen to become Sous Chef at Lucy's Table, Chef at Saraveza Bottle Shop and Pasty Tavern in 2011 and eventually became part of the restaurant management team at Chef Jenn Louis's Sunshine Tavern, preparing some of the freshest and most highly executed bar food anywhere in the city.
Nate moved to Hawaii in 2014 starting off at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai. Falling in love with the flavors and fusions of the different island cuisines, Nate knew he wanted to find a way to deliver a more personal touch to his dishes while placing an emphasis on eating healthy!
In March of 2019 Nate started Nate's Plates Meal Prep and Catering, hoping to combine his knowledge of fine dinning cuisine, basic nutrition and creativity of flavors to bring fresh tasting, healthy meals right to your door! Helping busy people eat healthy!
